What Do You Think of the New Guggenheim?
Is it X-Files enough for you? I like it, but don’t really think it looks like a UFO. Of course, I’ve never seen a UFO, so it might. It does appear somewhat like a space-age airplane.

The new design is following in the footsteps of the original Guggenheim and the amazing Bilbao in Spain with it’s unique appearance. The new Guggenheim Hermitage Museum to be located in Vilnius, Lithuania, is designed by 2004 Pritzker winner, Zaha Hadid. I love that a woman designed this one!
According to the Sci Fi channel website, the interior is reported as being equally as stunning as the exterior, and may open in 2011; pretty quickly for a design of this magnitude. We’ll see.
Learn more and see an entire slide show of the new Guggenheim.
Thanks to Mary Jo for the heads up.
