The Starship Enterprise Home Theater
A rather industrious Star Trek geek and home theater enthusiast has built himself a truly stunning entertainment room that pays homage to one of his favorite shows. This home theater resembles the bridge of the Starship Enterprise.
Gary Reighn is the fellow behind this project that was constructed in the basement of his home. Work began in late 2002 and the final pieces were put up in January 2005.
Some of the highlights include Berkline chairs with Bass Shaker Pro speakers installed underneath them, an X10-based lighting control system and full THX sound.
Gary also did an awesome job of documenting his work and publishing the build process on his website. From talking about the concept and design through to photos from all parts of the 2 year long construction, there is lots to see.
