The Cosmic Muffin
The Cosmic Muffin is pretty original. Is it a plane? Is it a boat? Well, it’s both! The Cosmic Muffin was once a Boeing 307 owned by Howard Hughes. In 1969, pilot Kenneth W. London rescued it from destination garbage dump, and spent the next four years turning the once-plane into a yacht.
In 1974, the “Londonaire” - as it was then called - made the rounds of South Florida’s shores, attracting attention throughout the state.
In 1981, the Londonaire was purchased by Dave Drimmer who moved in, 
and set to work on remodeling it further (after he realized it was probably going to sink if he didn’t do something). The Londonaire was renamed The Cosmic Muffin, after Jimmy Buffett’s Where is Joe Merchant?

how funny, i would go to borders off sunrise and see the plane boat, have been seeing it for years, where is it now,.. thxjo
