Quite Possibly the Best Barn House on the Planet
You won’t believe this house that Wallpaper has an article about. The home, a barn re-design project, located in Belgium is absolutely stunning. The design is stunning, the view is stunning, even the landscaping ideas are stunning. The architects left no detail untouched here. I basically want this house. To heck with all those other homes I was thinking of buying. This home is unique and yet still so wonderfully understated.
Personally, I like most barn homes, but one issue I have is that many of these homes look out of place with their surroundings once they’ve been updated. Or the builders will slap some bright color on the exterior to top it off - which can look great, but there’s always that risk of “too much.” This barn home is perfect.

See an entire (biggie) gallery of photos, specs, and read all about this beautiful home at Wallpaper. Go visit now! Missing the interior would be an unforgivable crime.

I love this. I have vague memories of visiting this rich guy’s barn home when I was a kid and I have always thought they were just gorgeous. This one is no slacker in that department!

I keep seeing all these slate colored homes around that I want. I’ve seen three others, not barn restyles that look like this and I really like them, which is off character for me. The one above is beautiful though. Maybe I’ll end up with a gray house?

I’ve always dreamed of doing a barn conversion. I love that big open loft feel with the old beamed ceilings. Alas, I live in a pretty urban area and even back in the day there were more loggers than farmers around here, so old barns a bit hard to come by. :(
