Presenting… My New House
Okay, it’s not my new house. But it’s pretty interesting. Not sure what happened here. Maybe they just weren’t being very good neighbors and one neighbor with a particularly large gun decided to… Nope, this story’s going nowhere. I must stop.

And in “contests you never knew existed” news: You’re too late the door has closed on another exciting year of… wait for it…
Therma-Tru’s third annual Ugliest Door in America Contest
My vote goes to this lovely door. Click on the link above to choose your favorite (or would that be least-favorite) door.
I don’t get to vote because the Carey Bros. are taking care of that. But I’d likely vote to end the contest anyhow. Do we need a contest for every single thing. Do we really? What’s next? The ‘cutest garden gnome’ contest or ‘best cream siding on a street staring with the letter C’ contest.
I don’t know. Maybe so many random contests are a good thing. Maybe people all over America feel better about their own doors. What do you think?

wow, that wooden warp thing is just so cool…
To walk by, though. Can’t say I’d necessarily want to live there.
And that truly is an ugly, ugly, ugly door.
Great finds! I don’t know how you dig all these weird things up, but keep ‘em coming.

Gee, I’m going to have to stop complaining about my cracked front door to the builders. Mine looks pretty good in comparison… but it’s definitely not going to stop people in the street!

So, I see we all adore contests about everything. Still, I’m glad it’s making people feel better about their own doors. And the graffiti — great idea. Maybe some of that yellow condemned tape as well.
