Offbeat Hot & Offbeat Not
Here’s the lowdown — you’ve found your perfect offbeat home (presumably with the help of this fine blog) you’ve moved in, you unpack and… blah. Your old furniture just doesn’t fit your new hip offbeat lifestyle. Don’t worry I can help.
Today and everyday offbeat is taking a stand against boring furniture everywhere. Why just dabble in an offbeat home when your whole world can be off the beaten path?
Offbeat Not!: Furniture without a cause…

Like this and this…

And egad, like this:

Offbeat Hot!: Furniture that screams, “Look at me!” (much like my son, but in a far less annoying and more functional way).
Try these on for size.
Or maybe start with some barstools, (bar stools) hmmm. One word or two? It’s 3am you’re gonna have to give me a break. How about, “Need some stools for your bar?” Ah, good one.
My favorite item on the menu today! (I like books — this is my new idea of a good clubhouse).

Or maybe one sort of like this.
Readers always need some light.
For the gardener:
For the folks building the underwater resort (last post, keep up with me now).
AND… I saved the best for last. I kid you not this is real furniture made by a real company. People pay good money for this.
HERE
IT
COMES…
I’m sure we’ll all sleep better just knowing this coffee table exists in our world.
Little old me, saving the offbeat homes of the world from the dull brown couch. One home at a time.

OK, now I have to admit, those are some pretty bizarre pieces of furniture. I do like the aquarium sink though. Now you need to give us links where to buy the stuff. :D

Those are amazing! They remind me of Gaudi’s undulating buildings… maybe he designed furniture, too…?

Muhahah, that coffee table is great. It took me a moment to get it, but then it dawned… I wouldn’t buy it, mind you, but nice find. :)

These are some of the greatest pieces of furniture EVER! The aquarium sink would provide my kids (and cats) countless hours of fun. And the book clubhouse…”ripped” dresser…
Hey, Jennifer–are you going to have a contest to win one of these babies? ;-) I’d even take the coffee table.
Thanks for finding these–fun stuff!

Hey, I know you, Liberty — Welcome. Basically, I could afford one of these in maybe a year or so — IF I skipped out on all my bills and maybe food. So, while it’s a lovely thought; no, no such prizes shall be given away. Until I win the lottery or hit the big time writing (Like Steven King big time). Then it’ll be a prize bonanza!
Prize disclaimer: If so called blogger Jennifer does indeed hit the big time this comment in no way constitutes a written prize contract between readers and blogger me. (Who knows where my good will may be in a few years)?
