Knit Yourself A Home
Technically I don’t think this home would be very water-proof (or warm; despite the knitting factor) but this house is so cool I had to share for those of you who haven’t seen it.

Love the flowers!

This home, knitted for the 2006 London Architecture Biennale was created by a group of women who enlisted the help of friends and family.
See the whole process right here. Or for the super ambitious; download the pattern in pdf and knit your own.

o.k..I love that. You could change the WHOLE look of your house by just draping different knitted throws over it. A cottage, a castle, a manor house..the possibilities are endless.

You know I never even though of that. But you’re right. Who needs a new coat of paint when a shawl will do just fine! You could have a hat with tassels for winter. Good idea you.

Actually, I was expecting to see a yurt when I clicked the link on ‘fabric houses’. There’s nothing like getting a jolt of whimsy!
