Happy Labor Day
I hope everyone is relaxing and not working today. I’m working as you can plainly see but I get time off during my week normally so there’s my excuse. If you’re working today I hope you have a good excuse as well.
Let’s see. I’m not quite sure what kind of house to post for Labor Day. All homes require a fair amount of labor. Maybe some calm and relaxing offbeat structures.
Like a portable cloud room featured at UrbanPeel.

Or a tiny relaxing zen style home on a rock from an RIP blog I like.

Or maybe you’d rather get wacky and drink away the day… Although, I recommend sticking with nice soda and lemonade.

Now the good old Pirate’s Cove is maybe 25 - 30 minutes or so from my house. Which means I actually could apply for the tempting offer of joining their fine jug shaped establishment as a dancer. Yet then I’d have to give up all of this — which would just be silly. Plus red is really one of my least favorite colors. If they ever paint it blue; well, maybe I’ll have to reconsider.
Have a relaxing and fun Labor Day offbeat readers.

Arghh! Don’t do it, Jennifer!
That last one was indeed so disconcerting I had to go back to the first two to get all calm and balanced again. (Not only red but a particularly ugly shade of red). Love the zen house and the portable cloud, however.

So are you saying I’d make a bad dancer :(
Just kidding. That really is just about the worst red ever on the whole planet. That portable cloud is supposed to be great for on the go office meetings. Can you imagine the CEO of some huge company; She’d be all, “Wait a sec guys I need to blow up my cloud!” Funny.
Thanks for stopping by (as always great to see/read you).

Brings a whole new meaning to the old Stones lyrics..
I said, Hey! You! Get off of my cloud
Hey! You! Get off of my cloud
Hey! You! Get off of my cloud
Don’t hang around ’cause two’s a crowd
On my cloud, baby

Didn’t that place used to be painted to look more like, I don’t know… a jug? When it was still called the Sandy Jug? Crazy.

Hey an Oregon resident — cool. I don’t see many of them here at Offbeat. Actually I thought it was another shade of red before but I could be wrong. I only ever drove by; never frequented. Thanks for stopping by.
