Give me a break…
Seriously. I need a break. I said I had something planned here this week (I really do) but it’ll just have to start tomorrow and run into Sunday, because so far my week has resembled a really bad series of after school specials. Only without the nice and tidy resolutions. That said, enjoy these links today and tomorrow I’ll be back full force.

Thanks so much for mentioning OneBookTwoBook. Karen and I are having fun writing it and are planning some interesting summer activities for youngsters (including teens) related to reading and writing.

Thanks for the input, Jennifer. Perhaps this reflects our backgrounds as teachers. We don’t simply read to children in the classroom. We tie the books in with topics they’re learning and often try to find activities to go along with them. As an author, I try to do this, too, when I visit classrooms.

@Mary Emma I homeschool, well,unschool, so as an alternative teacher of sorts I’m usually looking for ideas about how to connect all the dots when it comes to books as well, not just plain old book reviews. Although, sometimes those are good too.
@Maricar - ah yes, I’m pretty sure you have some offbeat blood in you. Once in a while you blog fab oddball stuff.
