Featured Architect of the Week & Other News
New ideas:
So I had this idea that featuring one architect a week might be cool. My main issue at Offbeat is that when I like a designer / architect / artist what have you; I tend to like so much of their work that I waste time figuring out what to show and what to not show.
Here’s the plan; maybe once a week or twice a month (can you tell I have logistic issues) I’ll pick someone I adore and do a few (or more) posts on them during the week. Nothing else will change. I’ll still bring in other news and old school homes. Same old, same old. Just with one featured architect as well. I wanted to fill you in here because I don’t want to waste space in the actual post to do this.
In case you’re wondering I did sort of steal this idea from one of my faves Architecture.mnp. They had this great feature deal a while back on… hmmm, you know it may have been Pott Architects. I can’t remember (and sorry, but I’m too lazy to go look). But anyhow they did a series of posts on one architect I really liked which partly gave me the idea. So semi-props to mnp — who you should visit right now by the way since this post will contain no nifty homes just news and nagging reminders. On the other hand, their blog is chock full of spiffy structures and very little nagging.
Scavenger Hunt News!
Folks, the scavenger hunt is almost over. That’s right. I hope you’ve been collecting words. If not there’s still time. Click on the picture below for information on how to win the hunt, a prize, and our channel’s admiration for you as a detective. Some of the words have been tricky to find so good job if you’ve been hanging in there.
Did you vote for me yet?
Maybe you should (just click that picture). Well, if you like me — there are some other great blogs on the line-up so you could vote for them as well if you’re so moved. I actually voted in most of the 2007 Weblog categories because one it’s fun and secondly you get to support all the cool beans bloggers out there.
Upcoming News!
We have more exciting news from the Home & Dining Channel coming up next month that you will not want to miss. There are some channel surprises on the way, cool seasonal posts, and more. Just a head’s up.
I’ll be back soon with my featured architect pick of the week — it’ll be sweet trust me. Until then I suppose you could always fill me in on how your week’s been going. Not really house related but still good stuff to know.

My week? Exciting, horrible, fantastic and challenging. Yesterday was my birthday (bah-humbug), ending a relationship (a long story), received a couple contracts on works submitted and finding balance (an even longer story) has encompassed the past week of mine!
How are you??
And I voted, by the way…

Hey, weird guess where I was a few minutes ago… checking out your new blog. Very strange huh. The top post was password protected but I figured it had to do with the whole R situation. I sometimes still do read AW. Sorry about your week lows but sometimes to get better things fall first but you know that. Thanks for the vote. I will email you back soon too — the end of the month is always jam packed busy or I would have already. Take care of you and Jaden.

Yep! That would be the reasoning for the pw protection. His family has been checking out my blog for a while now, so I felt it was best to hide everything that I don’t want them to read. I’m sure as their interest subsides, I’ll find myself allowing more viewable information. :) They don’t need to know everything I’m feeling.
In spite of the week of lows, it’s been a good week. I’m loving some aspects of my life even more!! :)
I forgive you on not emailing me back. Not everyone is as bored as I or with as much free time as I’ve suddenly stumbled upon. Perhaps it’s being lazy… There ARE things I COULD be doing! :)
