Dreamy Winter House
Bad news. I lost the info on this house. Long story short my computer recently semi-died and I did a bunch of stuff to it in order to fix it. Second long story short I have the photo but not the back story saved — at least not that I can find at the moment.
The good news. Well, you don’t really need a back story. This home photo is so beautiful it stands strong alone.
The nameless, yet dreamy winter home.

It will drive me crazy until I find my bookmark on this.
While we wait I think I’ll just dream about spending the holiday season here.

I love the house, but I dunno. Does anyone else find it to be a bit…square?

Marye… drooling. I say no barn project and we build this instead :)
Joshua, it is very square. It would be too square if it was not for the platform roof; I think the design flow of the stairs is nice too. Basically it’s so sweet — it looks like someone took a cargo home and side flipped it.

Wouldn’t this make a great Mod Christmas Card? I mean, forget the one-room church in the woods - this is so now.

You know it would make a great holiday card. Very now compared to church in the woods. It’s so serene.

This house is by Tom Kundig of Olson Sundberg Kundig Allen Architects and was featured in the New York Times Magazine, among other places. It’s called the Delta Shelter.
