Cyber Monday: Offbeat Style
I say skip the sales and instead create some ultra offbeat and slick virtual homes. Equity Green had this killer post this summer on homes featured at Second Life, an Internet-based virtual world. People create worlds and then interact. However, the crown achievement of sites like this may be the home designs. Cyber based, not of this world designs that are standing up to real-life designs. Very cool.
The homes featured by Equity Green are in fact built to leave a smaller footprint in cyber space — interesting. Take a look:

Wouldn’t it be weird to live in a house that is really just a big window. Talk about no privacy. It looks cool in virtual land - but where are the drapes? Can you imagine living on display like that? Where would you pick your nose?

I could never live in a big glass home. Some do look super slick but over all I keep thinking how do you keep up with the window washing. Also, you’re right about privacy — not so sure about the nose issue :) But I know I don’t want people peeking in at me all the time.
