Carbon Offsetting Legitimate?
I have been apprehensive to purchase Carbon Offsets. The concept, pay a company money for your pollution habits. That money is supposedly paying for the development and purchase of renewable energy. I am even skeptical of paying extra money to my local power company for them to say “you are being supplied energy” from a methane generator. Unless I am directly “plugged” into it, how do I know I actually using it?
All of my skepticism, is becoming justifiable. The Financial Times have come out with a scathing report against Carbon Offsets.
I don’t see anything being reported or acknowledged by Tree hugger. I think I am going to send them an email.

Hey Adam and Jennifer:
The next Presidential campaign has barely started and already the pundents are reporting on several of the candidates personal carbon footprints (mostly on the huge ones).
Here in DC, at The National Building Museum, a new exhibit called, Building the Environmentally Friendly “Green” Home displays the latest in technology and trends for the environmentally friendly “green” home.

Perhaps some of our inside the Beltway candidates should make a visit and check out the 19 ways to reduce their carbon footprint.
