Blip Design does some amazing work - both structural and furniture wise. Also, for an architect firm Blip’s website is refreshingly uncomplicated and no hassle. That’s new.
One of my favorite structures of Blip’s is a remodel, the queen anne house. The home is in the Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle and takes advantage of the [...]

Last night I told you about my little crush on Estes/Twombly. This morning I’ve got my favorite structure from this firm. I’m pretty sure the McKeough House is the first Estes/Twombly home I saw, and it’s lovely.
Ok, more than lovely. This is like twilight house eye candy bliss. That term won’t be sweeping the nation [...]

God, I’m [...]

Seriously now; have you ever seen such a mixed up looking house? Ever?

Earlier today I posted a review of a new book; The Carbon-Free Home: 36 Remodeling Projects to Help Kick the Fossil -Fuel Habit.
With that in mind, I figured the timing was right to share some previous building/home resource books and DVDs that we’ve seen here at Offbeat in the past.
Offbeat Worthy Holiday Gifts (there’s an [...]

I found a great new book at the library last week - The Carbon-Free Home: 36 Remodeling Projects to Help Kick the Fossil -Fuel Habit by Stephen & Rebekah Hren.
I’m not all the way through this book yet, but already I can tell you it’s worth far more than [...]
